We have another great industry update lined up for members at our April meeting next Friday (1 April), to be hosted by Travelodge Newcastle.

Welcome – Kent Warren – Chair

• Newcastle Airport Update – Stephen Crowe (Executive Manager of Corporate Affairs) – Stephen will talk on new routes the airport has been able to develop over the past 6-months as well as provide an update on the status of the runway
• Learning Sphere – Craig Slavek (Industry Programs Coordinator) – Craig will talk through current incentives/funding available for employers to take on trainees/apprentices and also the option of short courses to develop new talent for our industry (funding is ongoing and wage subsidy is up to $28k per year which is a massive relief for payroll for any business)
• A review on the Dine and Discover Vouchers (Residents of NSW are eligible for 4 x $25 vouchers available through Service NSW). We will go through the best way your business can get involved and ensure you can drive demand.

Due to COVID requirements, attendance at this event will be capped and it will be conducted in accordance with COVID Safe procedures, including compulsory guest registration online and at the venue, social distancing and appropriate hygiene practices.
